About

Someone to talk to when life feels heavy

Sometimes you need more than advice. You need someone who will actually listen, and who can answer with real knowledge of the tradition.

Shaykh Abdul-Rahman Zyka is an Imam at the Islamic Society of Victoria. For years he has sat with people through the things they tend to carry quietly: grief that won't lift, a marriage under strain, a faith that feels far away, decisions that feel too big to make on your own.

His counselling draws on classical Islamic scholarship and the tradition's long understanding of the heart and how it heals, always grounded in the Qur'an and the example of the Prophet ﷺ.

Sessions are private and never rushed. You won't be judged here. What you'll find instead is an honest, patient companion, and a tradition that has been guiding hearts like yours for fourteen hundred years.
